Hello Good People,
Spring is here, at least for us in the northern hemisphere, and hopefully we will be surrounded by all the beauty of nature soon! Although we are expecting a lot of rain (and possible snow again) during Easter where I live😅 not that I’m complaining, the simple fact that we have more hours of light at the moment is perfect for me.
But let’s go to the main subject of this newsletter: I need your HELP to make COLOUR WEEK come true!
Before, let me explain you where this idea came from... one of my favourite times when I was in the elementary school was colour week 🎨during that week each day had a defined colour and all the kids were invited to wear at least one piece of clothing of the color’s day, we learned things about colour and did crafts. It’s easy to understand why this week was a real treat to me!
So for a long time now I’ve been thinking to create a kind of colour week, inspired by my childhood memories, and this where you can help me😊
The colour week will obviously have a colour defined for each day. And everyone is invited to create whatever you want, using the mediums of your choice, on the colours chosen for the week!
I will make the prompts of 262 ArT Days Project for that week available for all if someone wants to join the colour week but doesn’t know what to draw/create.
So please give me colour (or more than one) that you like in the comments or DM me so I can plan ahead a fun colour week.
Hope this makes sense :) but if not, it will all get more clear when colour week comes, I’m pointing it for the mid of April🎉
Three little BIG things:
1. One more picture from the ‘oficina’, my grandmother sent me flowers from the garden and my desk turned more springly! I’m trying to taking more picture from the ordinary life, not instagrammable.
2. I’ve made homemade stickers, will share soon! I still need to cut them by hand 😂
3. March was Neocolors’s month for me on the 262 Art Days project, I focused on drawing exclusively with Neocolors and it was hard!!! Love Neocolors but I’m used to mixed them with other mediums, and although it still needs more exploration I think that’s how I enjoy them, in combination with other art materials.
I love their rich colours, the textures they create and prefer to use them dry.
Curiosities:
Neocolors I have dots on the label while Neocolors II have a symbol of a brush on the label (at least the recent versions, the old ones don’t!). I only realise this difference recently because I only have two Neocolors I.
Neocolors and Luminance pencils have the same reference number for the same colour :)
Do you like Neocolors? What’s your favourite way to use them?
And this it for this month, wish your a peaceful and sweet Easter time (if you celebrate it) and don’t forget to leave me your colour(s) suggestion in the comments/DM’s please😊THANK YOU!
Till the next time,
Teresa
Love neocolors soooo much! And my color choice is always going to be pink :)
My colour of choice is always purple! I don’t like Neocolors because I find them a bit unwieldy but I really want to like them! I’m going to persevere with them again tomorrow because I used to dislike gouache but I love it now, so you never know.😉
