Hello Good People,
As many of you may already know, now I have not 1, but 2 assistants in my little ‘snail’ office (aka a corner of our living room!) so it's time to present them to you as they deserve! *if you don't like cats 🤔, skip till ‘in other news’ part of this letter.
Aguarela (means watercolor)
The senior assistant of the office, she is 3 years old. She lives in her little own world, afraid of everything and everyone (even us!), super behaved and the sweetest, only accept cuddles when she wants. Loves to play, her favorite toys are any ball and elastics. Plus taking all the dirt from plant pots 😹. Safe place: behind the toilet.
P.S.- she is pretty and she knows it!
Guache
The baby assistant in the house, she is 4 months! We adopted her this month after coming back from holidays, it’s my advanced birthday present 🥰 we are still getting to know her personality but in one word she is JOY! Doesn't fear anything, always jumping like a little monkey, playing and looking for troubles 😹 loves ALL the toys and the cat tunnel (that was from Aguarela and where she never entered!). Safe place: behind pantry’s door. She has a goofy face, it's impossible not to like her and she is pure love, often asks for cuddles and gives us kisses.
They are still not the best friends, but they can now be safe alone. And I'm hoping Aguarela will let go some of her fears with time when she realises that Guache is here for her. Just like we have always been.
In other news
It was an exhausting month, the arrival of Guache was very tiring - totally worthy (if you have cats you know how much costs the baby sitting job and all the work a new baby cat takes) and I'm trying stop taking a medication very strong and addictive, which has been a real struggle - I had so many days where I felt abstinence symptoms and didn't feel me, don't wish this to anyone! All of this made me feel I didn't produce anything this month, to be honest with me and clear I don't need to produce art every month necessarily, this is not my job, I don't rely on my art to live BUT my inner artist feels sad and some kind of anxiety when I don't make art.
Here’s a summary of what I did in October:
- I moved my Pop-Shop to Ko-fi and released my Autumn stickers 🍂
- Tried Art Graf for the first time, now I get why everyone praises about it! There's a YouTube video recording my first experience, click here to watch.
- Made my summer travel's vlog, took me almost 1 month to do it because of all above mentioned plus editing process is so time consuming and a thing I'm recently new so it's easy for me to procrastinate! Some people ask why I bother making these vlogs if probably no one will watch them, and there's one reason that makes it worth - I make them for us (me and my family), it's a record of the best memories and why not share a bit of my world to others? I like to see other’s worlds too!
- I have been joining
Youtube livestreams every Sunday where we draw together. Each Sunday is a new theme and the timetable is friendly as she is based in Europe like me. It's fun, keeps me relaxed and at the same time I feel it like an art warm up for the week ahead 😊- Coming this week: YouTube video with all the doodles I’ve made for AHP tober - hosted by
, and how I manage to put them all together in a ‘sketchbook’ format! And that's it for this month, I'm hoping next month there will be more exciting news (can’t promising anything tho!).
Happy Halloween if you celebrate it 🎃 we will have a spooky-cozy dinner at home and all the kids of our building come ask for trick or treat (they love our house’s entrance because we are the only ones in the building who put decorations!) 🧡
See you in my anniversary month,
Teresa
I loved seeing your assistants! They are so cute 🥰 and their names, pfff when I get a kittie I might steal one their names 😜. Happy Halloween 🎃👻
