Hello friends!
Happy first day of August, today the calendar also marks the first month of The Botanica Collective.
Me and my friend Joana Dornellas -
are always chatting about drawings, artist dramas, art supplies and of course new ideas, from one of those talks the idea of having a drawing challenge, where everyone could express their creativity, associated with flowers, and ultimately to the botanic world, came to our minds. We were very excited with the idea by itself, and our happiness rised exponentially when we realised that so many people accepted and embraced the challenge since week 1.How it works:
- every week we share a picture (on Saturdays!)
- you can join by making your interpretation of the reference picture
- picture references will be diversified, but there will always be a botanical element in each of it
- all types of art are welcome as well as all art levels
- we share the artworks on our Instagram feed or stories. For that please don't forget to tag us on Instagram and use our hashtag #thebotanicacollective .
We love to see art and are heavy consumers of art in all its forms and formats so needless to say that we are looking to receive all kind of artworks! The goal of this challenge is to sparkle creativity and maybe give that little push for you to draw/create something (we all know that sometimes that push is really needed!).
