Sketchbook Tour - 262 Art Days (Part 1)

Hello Good People,

Long time no see, I needed a ‘break’... paused Blogletter for 1 month and sketch only when I could (or my body allowed me to), sometimes pushing yourself is not an option and accepting that is OK. All small things during this time seemed like little big victories!

I didn’t sketch daily, but somehow I managed to still make the 262 ArT Days work - my daily art challenge for this year - which makes me really proud of myself. Definitely it helped to have people who are doing the challenge with me - THANK YOU! And Teresa from the past was wize and organised the challenge for the first 6 months of the year in advance (yah for me!).

Here’s the first sketchbook tour from the 262 Art Days - January to May 2024:

During my break, I also realised that I want my Blogletter to be more like a blog, which was my intention when I start writing it, but somehow I got lost in my ideas and mess it all…so that’s what I am aiming from now on. More of me, the simple things that make me happy and all the art that my world better.

Three little BIG things:

1. I made an art supplies order in April, life got messed up and the 2 boxes were waiting for 2 months here in the oficina. Last week I finally opened them and start (re)discovering what I ordered 🤭 I’m going to show you what I got in a future letter, but for now I just played with my first Derwent Inktense pencils.

2. Lately I’m a little obsessed with silent vlogs (not only art related), I usually don’t like to draw with ‘background noise’, I’m easily distracted so silent vlogs have been a nice way to have some company and still get my things done.

3. This month The Botanica Collective is celebrating 1 year!!!🤩 This is an weekly art challenge page created by me and my artist friend
